Delivery and Shipping

What is the cost of Domestic and International Shipping?
The cost for domestic deliveries for orders below $350 is $10. Shipping for domestic orders $350 and over is free of charge.
The cost of international shipping is a flat rate of $35.

All Investment Coin orders incur a flat rate of $10.00 for shipping.

How are orders of $5000 (domestic) and $2000 (international) shipped?
Orders of $5000 (domestic) and $2000 (international) are shipped via Toll. Please note Toll only deliver to a physical address, not PO Box.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?
At the Royal Australian Mint, our aim is to get your order out to you as quickly as possible. Retail domestic orders are dispatched within 10-14 business days and international orders will be dispatched within 21 business days.

My order hasn’t arrived, what should I do?
If you haven’t received your order, please contact our Customer Service Team on 1300 652 020 or go to our Contact Us page to send an email.

Do you deliver to Parcel Lockers?
Yes, we can deliver to Parcel Lockers but please note that the Royal Australian Mint is not liable for any missing customer orders sent via Australia Post, where a customer uses the MyPost Delivery App to re-direct their order to another address or to an Australia Post Parcel Locker.

By using the MyPost Delivery App, you indemnify the Mint and all of its officers, employees, contractors and agents against all loss, actions, proceedings, costs and expenses (including legal fees), claims and damages arising.  Please see MyPost Terms of Use for more information.

I have received my order and it is damaged, what do I do?
Please contact the Mint on 1300 652 020 or email within seven (7) business days of receiving your order. Further information on the Royal Australian Mint’s Warranty and Returns Policy can be found here.

I made a purchase from a third party and the product arrived damaged. Is it covered by the Royal Australian Mint?
No, you will have to go back to the place of purchase to discuss your options. Only products bought directly from the Royal Australian Mint are covered in the Warranty and Returns Policy.


Do I need to register an account with the Royal Australian Mint to make a purchase online?
Yes, if you haven’t made a purchase with the Mint before, you will be required to register an account. This can be done by clicking ‘My account’ and clicking ‘Register’. This will take you to the Registration screen where you fill in your details, enter a password and follow the prompts.

I live outside Australia, how do I place an order with the Royal Australian Mint?
Products can be ordered online through our eShop or by calling our Contact Centre on 1300 652 020. Please note, that international deliveries may be subject to import taxes and other fees, such charges are the responsibility of customer.

What currency are eShop transactions carried out in?
The Royal Australian Mint eShop transactions are carried out in Australian Dollars (AUD) and processed through an international banking system. International orders are charged in Australian dollars at the exchange rate of the day. Your final bill will be determined by the exchange rate applied by your payment services provider at the time the charge is recorded, plus any fees applied by your payment services provider.

I forgot my password, how do I reset it?
Click on the ‘Log In’ tab the top of the page and click ‘Reset password’. Enter the email address that is attached to your eShop account and follow the prompts to reset your password.

Where will I find my customer number?
Sign into your account and click on ‘My account’ and it will be at the top of the page.

I have moved and need to change my address details, where can I do that?
Firstly, you will need to sign into your account. Once you have signed in, click on ‘My Account’ and this will take you to where you can change your address and update any other details. Alternatively, you can contact us on 1300 652 020 or email us at

How long does it take for my online order to process?
Online orders are usually processed within minutes of being submitted. Once this has occurred, you will receive a Sales Acknowledgement, which confirms your order. Once your order has been dispatched from the Royal Australian Mint a tracking number will be sent to you via email from Auspost followed by a Tax Invoice.

Can I change my order or add to it after it has been submitted?
No, we are unable to make changes to your order, as it will be processed and sent to our Dispatch Team within minutes of it being submitted. Please be sure you have checked your order before proceeding to the checkout. If you find that you have made a mistake or wish to cancel the order, please contact the Royal Australian Mint via email or call us during business hours (Monday–Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm AEDT) on 1300 652 020.

Can you hold onto my order? 
No, we are unable to hold onto your order. If for any reason you can't take delivery of your order, the parcel will be taken to the nearest Post Office for you to collect.

Payment Types

What payment types do you accept?
To pay for your purchase through the eShop, we accept the following: Mastercard, Visa, American Express and PayPal.

What is the 3 or 4 digit security code on my credit card?
If you are paying by MasterCard or Visa, you will find a 3 digit number on the back of your card. This is your security code.

If you are paying by American Express, you will find a 4 digit number on the front of your card. This is your security code.

Coin Information

Are Royal Australian Mint collector coins legal tender?
Yes, all coins with the Australian effigy are Australian legal tender.

If a coin is ‘Sold Out’ with the Royal Australian Mint, am I able to still get it?
Possibly. There are numerous Royal Australian Mint accredited coin distributors who sell our product and they may still have some available. Please see our Distributor contact list to find one in your area.

Can I purchase brand new circulating coins in rolls or sachets from the Royal Australian Mint?
The Royal Australian Mint does not sell circulating coins in rolls to the public. Circulating coin sachets can only be purchased from our Roadshow Tours. Please be aware that we only accept cash money for the coin sachets as it is a coin exchange and no receipts are given.

Are numismatic (collector) coins only for collectors?
No, numismatic (or collector) coins make great gifts and mementos. They often commemorate important events and other topics of interest to the general public. For more information please visit the Collector Coins page.

Contact and Address details

How do I unsubscribe from the Royal Australian Mint’s mailing list?
You can contact us by email or call us during business hours (Monday–Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm AEST) on 1300 652 020 requesting us to remove your name from our mailing list. We can also change your marketing preferences to be received electronically, if you don’t want to receive mail from us in the post.


Why is the international price lower than the Australian price?
All purchases made in Australia incur the Goods and Services Tax, which is not applicable to international purchases.

Why do some coins have a limit of three per customer account?
Due to the popularity of some coin themes and designs, we limit the purchase quantity to ensure as many collectors as possible can buy the coins.

Does the Royal Australian Mint buy or refine either gold or silver?
No, the Royal Australian Mint does not buy or refine gold or silver.
